Shows in Chicago and New York in the next few weeks, so check 'em out if you're around there. 7" featuring two new and exclusive songs is being pressed right now, so that should be available via New Ruins Recordings in a few weeks.

After a bit of downtime - thanks to losing our practice space to a flood, among other things - we are back in the saddle. We're putting the finishing touches on our upcoming LP, tentatively titled Plumage, which is due out later this year on the upstart New Ruins Recordings out of Chicago. There are a few more releases lined up as well, including a 7", 12"/cassette (the cassettes will be shipped to Africa - more on this later), and another LP that will drop in 2010.

Also got a big gig this Friday in Pittsburgh with Girl Talk, Modey Lemon, Grand Buffet, Don Caballero and more. Nick will be out of town but we've put together a whole new set of material with Sam's Gangwish setup as a focal point. Should be interesting.
Working on a November tour now. Check back for dates. Later.

Keepin it brief - check out the shows page for our upcoming jaunt through the heartland. We'll be playin a bunch of new stuff that we've been putting on tape for your eventual consumption. Turn on the silence makers. We're bringin' in Reinforcements.

Confluence will be officially released in February. It will be distributed by our friends at Chicago Independent Distribution.
In the meantime, we will be in the studio recording our next album. Plans are also moving swiftly on a 12" EP for the song "New Sudan", which will feature a version recorded/reworked by an amazing Pittsburgh lyricist, Omar Abdul. All proceeds of the record will go to a yet-to-be decided charity focusing on the problems in Sudan. The vinyl will be released on the up-and-coming Dear Skull Records. What a great new label!

We have had a great summer so far playing some beautiful shows in Pittsburgh (see photo above- thanks Sara K.) and getting some of our new sounds out there. Come October we will be taking it on the road, hopefully with our new album in tow. The wait between that and the follow-up will be pretty short... but there I go again thinking this shit works out the way you want it to!

That is to say, we have new songs and will be playing them in various settings in the near future. Thursday, March 27, we're playing on WRCTs live show (9-10PM EST), which will be streamed live around the world at www.wrct.org. Check the shows page for other happenings. You can still get copies of our 12" EP, but i'm not just pulling a Loki when I say they're going fast. It's a vinacular prelude to our upcoming full length, tentatively titled Confluence.
